Vee Design, as EA Design Group, were commissioned by Mirvac to prepare an urban master plan for a 450 hectare mixed use residential community, north of Commera on the Gold Coast.

The development was based around the existing Gainsborough Greens Golf Course, which has been reorganised to ensure maximum value and benefit for all adjacent residential and commercial precincts, recreation and conservation areas.

The master plan for the project integrates a mix of densities and uses ranging from detached and attached residential to “High Street” retail and commercial uses.

Vee Design explored a variety of housing typologies, ensuring appropriate address and orientation to adjacent streetscapes and public realm.

The design of the public realm was of extreme importance to ensure all built form integrates seamlessly with recreational open space systems, community recreation facilities, streets, boulevards, public plazas and sports facilities.
