Vee Design was commissioned by the Wujian Agricultural Expo Management Office to design a streetscape for an important road in a new landscape and nursery district in Wujian, Changzhou.
The concept is based on a floral exhibition demonstrating the function and purpose of the new district. A feature of the streetscape concept is a series of sculptural metal ‘flower baskets with a carpet of red flowers at key entry points and intersections. The 9 metre tall flower baskets are representative of Chinese flower baskets (hua nan) which are intrinsic of Chinese culture and celebrations.
