Location: Sunshine Coast, Australia
Client: Stockland
Kawana is a fast growing region of the Sunshine Coast. Vee Design as EA Design Group was commissioned by Stockland to prepare an urban master plan for their key note Kawana Beach community development. The preliminary concept design features a compact - pedestrian oriented mixed use community centred on a man made lake and kawana
beach. The centre of the community is defined by a mixed use town overlooking the lake and a natural landscape with supporting hotel, retail, commercial and residential uses. Public facilities integral of the town include a surf life savers club, hotel, library and learning facility. A variety of residential precincts radiate out from the town centre.
