Ipswich North Open Space
Where cultural heritage can be celebrated for years to come.
North Ipswich Open Space Master Plan sets the framework for the future development of the North bank of the Bremer River. Promoting many of Ipswich’s forgotten cultural treasures as a part of a connected open space network, which will ensure the cultural heritage is celebrated for years to come.
The precinct looks to re-program the heritage and cultural fabric in order to demonstrate the importance of the industrial developments that once took place here and the important role it played within the broader story of Ipswich. Ipswich having the first train station in Queensland, this landscape of legacy will repurpose these Significance historical links, towards providing Ipswich and the broader community a social and creative landmark which rivals that of any city.
